Simple is better.  Below are some links for meal plans that are fairly easy/quick to prepare.  Keep in mind that stores in Central America do not have the selection we enjoy here in the states (meat is also not to the same quality/taste as ours).  Crew members are encouraged to choose a couple dinner meals to prepare for the others.  Planning ahead of time will make shopping in port quicker and easier. *also keep in mind that cooking while underway may not allow for boiling water and fancy suateing.  Crew is encouraged to discuss amongst themselves ahead of time (via email?) to come up with a rough meal plan.  The links below have great ideas for easy breakfast/lunch ideas.  What often works best is for the crew who goes shopping to keep taxi fees + food receipts and split the total cost.

**Coffee:  smuggle in some of your favorite INSTANT Coffee, its a vessel not a Starbucks! (seriously though, no coffee maker like in your casa)

Tattoo says the crew buys and prepares the captain’s food.  If you don’t like the plan, please bring flippers and plan to push Reliant through the night to conserve fuel 🙂
